VPAT and procurement
Answering accessibility questions in a tender.
4 dəq oxuYeniləndi
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template is the standard way a supplier reports how a product measures against WCAG, Section 508 and EN 301 549. Public-sector buyers in the EU and the US routinely require one.
Our VPAT
SiteAccessible maintains a VPAT 2.5 INT covering the widget and the dashboard. Enterprise customers get the current revision under NDA, along with the raw axe-core and manual test results behind it.
Your VPAT
If you are the supplier being asked, remember that installing our widget does not change the conformance of your own product. Report your product's actual state. Listing a third-party overlay as your conformance evidence is a well-known way to fail a technical evaluation.
Questions buyers ask, and honest answers
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Is the product WCAG 2.2 AA conformant? | Report your measured state, with the date and method. |
| Do you use an accessibility overlay? | Say yes if you do, and say what it covers. Concealing it reads worse than declaring it. |
| Do you have a remediation plan? | A dated plan with owners beats a claim of conformance. |
| Can users disable the overlay? | Yes — the widget is opt-in per visitor and changes nothing until they open it. |
